Parent Information
What to expect, and what we need from you, before your young person takes part.
What parents and carers can expect
When your young person joins an Authority House program, camp or group, you can expect clear communication, trained and screened leaders, and a safe, faith-centred environment. We want you to feel informed and confident before, during and after every experience.
Parent consent for under-18s
For anyone under 18, we require parent or guardian consent before participation. For camps and overnight events, this includes medical and emergency information and agreement to our Code of Conduct.
Our communication approach
We communicate with parents directly and respectfully. You'll receive an information pack before cohorts, camps or groups begin, and a named contact you can reach out to at any time.
Camp and event supervision and safety
Camps and events run with appropriate leader-to-young-person ratios, visible supervision, and clear safety and behaviour expectations. Leaders hold valid Working With Children Checks.
Medical, dietary and emergency information
We collect medical, dietary and emergency-contact details so we can keep your young person safe. This information is kept private and shared only with the leaders who need it for care and emergencies.
Ask questions before enrolling
You don't have to commit to find out more. Use our Parent Enquiry form, read our Safeguarding & Child Safety page, or contact us with any question before your young person enrols.
